Trail Gates
Trail users are advised we are encountering unauthorized closing of the red gates on the trail.
This has happened on several occasions on parts of the trial, and Sunday morning, June 19th, all gates across 26km were closed.
These gates should be left open, and closed only by authority of DNR in the case of an emergency such as a wild fire. At that time notices will be posted.
Closed gates have the potential of causing a serious accident to an unsuspecting trail user.
It could also prevent emergency services accessing the trail in the case of an emergency.
This has been reported to both DNR and the RCMP. If you have seen anyone tampering with the gates, you can email: [email protected] or call the local
